Really awesome app. Fun! But most importantly, educational! I think this is a very efficient and addictive way to learn Chinese for everyone from a little kid in kindergarden to a high school or university student studying Chinese to a mid-aged mom from Hong Kong using her spare time to brush up on her simplified characters! Thanks for making such a great app for me!!!

I dont even know where to start. This app is SO helpful! Learning to write in Chinese is tough, especially when it comes to memorizing the correct order. Gamifying the process was a great idea! I recommend this app to every person beginning their journey with Chinese!

Some bad moments
I like to use this app for practice and remember lots of characters but two important points must get better with an update:
1) currently full packs are only possible to learn with traditional characters. When switching to simplified, many characters will not be trained. This is a pity, as in china mainland you will see only simplified chars and will never recognize when just possible to learn with this app the traditional chars...
When selecting simplified I expect to see all chars in training, and not just a small subset...
2) this is not that important now, but other apps are providing that... the writer training provides just "typewriter" characters (hard strokes), the written character Fonts would be more nice. When I write the chars from this app, my Chinese teacher sometimes says, a real unusual handwriting I create, as everything is very hard and not smoothly written.
So something to improve in this app esp. when I need to pay so much for it. Afterwards Im willing to give my full recommendation.
At first I thought this app wouldnt be terribly useful. It seemed kind of lame (What? Characters falling? Huh?) but then I tried the free version and was hooked.You get more points for writing faster. This is best for reviewing characters you already know and can read. It will help gain fluency in writing and using correct stroke order (and its fun).
But you have to pay for each set of new characters and you cant customize it. When I can play this game with vocabulary from my Integrated Chinese textbook (or whatever else), Ill give it 5 stars!

A suggestion:
Traditional characters. Just simplified isnt what Im looking for.
Needs to add an option to learn traditional characters (instead if just simplified)
Fun and great for learning stroke order. Also pronounces characters outputs in the practice mode, which is helpful.

This app has quickly become my go-to app for when Im trying to learn new Chinese characters and their meanings. Sure you could look through a dictionary and find a couple new words that you didnt already know, but with this, youre barraged with new characters that you can either learn by playing the game, or by learning/practicing as you write them. Again, this app is amazing. Im in my fourth year of learning Chinese, and all of the expansion packs are a great help to expand my vocabulary.
